Midwifery care with Midwife Stacy Lewis is covered by health insurance using out-of-network benefits. Your out-of-pocket expenses will be determined based on your insurance benefits. Stacy has contracts with over 600 insurance companies and as a result, your out-of-pocket expenses might not be as much as you think! Schedule a phone consult or a meeting with her to find out!  

A portable birth tub is available for water birth. Some women birth in garden tubs while others purchase an inflatable swimming pool for the birth. Discuss your preferences with Stacy and she will help you determine a great fit!

Understanding the majority of support from the midwife occurs during labor, delivery and postpartum care, discounts, if any, will be discussed on a case by case basis for transferring care from another provider late in pregnancy. 

Client agrees to deposit a non-refundable retainer of $500. Deposit is applied towards the balance. Unless other financial arrangements have been made, midwifery fees are due by the 36th week of pregnancy.  If financial obligations are not met by the 36th week, care will be transfered to another provider.

    Midwife Stacy Lewis, CPM, LM accepts the following forms of payment:

    • Flexible Spending Account
    • Medical Savings Account

    Out-of-pocket costs for clients with health insurance will be calculated depending on the insurance policy. Following the payment of deposit the balance of the account is divided into equal monthly payments. The number of payments will be based on the remaining number of months in the pregnancy. The out-of-pocket balance must be paid by 36 weeks.

    Medical Savings Account and Flexible Spending Account balances are usually fronted to the employee at the first of the year and accessible to pay the midwife’s fee at the beginning of pregnancy.
